A State Government-led review comes as forecasts predict the number of people living in Queensland rental properties will soar to more than 2.1 million within the next decade.
“We need to modernise renting laws in Queensland … (it) needs to be a positive experience for tenants and a beneficial experience for landlords,” she told reporters today.
Queensland has one of the highest proportions of rentals in Australia, with more than a third of all households renting.
